1. When converting MXF footage using Final Cut Pro oriented format templates(e.g. Apple ProRes), please ensure that your computer has Final Cut Pro installed, otherwise the converted files will have audio only without image.
2. If you are using FCP X, please make sure you have installed ProApps QuickTime Codecs, or you may get files with sound only without video. The FCP X does not install the ProApps QuickTime Codecs automatically, so you need download and install the codec manually from http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1396.

    Q: Just purchased your MXF converter and it has failed to install on my mac OSX 10.5.8, get error message: Install failed. The Installer could not install some files"/ Applications". Contact the software manufacturer for assistance.

    A: Pavtube has been updated to support the coming Mac Mountain Lion system. This new pkg file may have problem to install on Mac OSX 10.5.8. If you have this problem pls download the special installation file for Mac OSX 10.5.8 from below link.

    Q: We have a copy of pavtube software in order to be able to convert MXF files created on a Panasonic AJ-HPX3100G camera, but it’s unable to read the MXF files now in the software. In the preview window, the picture is gray. If I convert it to mov or any other format, the screen is also gray.

    A: This problem may happen to MXF files recorded in AVC-Intra 100 mode. AVC-Intra is a new codec that further advances HD production. Currently pavtube can deal with the AVC-Intra 50 codec, in the camera recorder you can choose to shoot under AVC-Intra 50 mode, pavtube has no problem to convert it. We will add support for AVC-Intra 100 codec soon.

    Q: Can I add multiple MXF clips to convert at a time?

    A: Yes, you can. Pavtube MXF Converter for Mac supports batch conversion, so you can import multiple MXF files to do format conversion at a time.

    Q: How can I merge multiple files into one file?

    A: Once your source files are loaded into the software, you can tick off “Merge into one file” option to combine them into a single file.

    Q: Trying to convert MXF files from Canon XF300, the below error messages come up.

    "There are 1 MXF files without source audio files. Please put the relative source audio files to the same directory with the MXF videos, or to the relative Audio folder, and import the MXF video files again.The mentioned MXF video files: If the converted files are abnormalities of voice sound , please contact the customer support."
    There are no more files that I can add and all files are in teh same directory with mxf same results with no sound form hard disk after import through canon xf utility or straight from CF card.

    A: This problem has been fixed in latest release on March 19, 2012,pls make sure you are using the latest version. If not, pls download the update from your pavtube account or contact macsupport@pavtube.com for a download link of update.

    Q: How can I add a watermark to the output video?

    A: Click the button “Edit” to enter into the editing panel, and then hit the button “Image/Video Watermark” to import the image or video files from your Mac as a watermark; hit the “Text Watermark” button to enter the text you want as a text watermark.

    Q: How can I rename the output file?

    A: Please find the column named “Destination File” on file list. Double click on the file name to entitle it.

    Q: How do I install and register the software?

    A: Please refer to Install and register Mac products.

    Q: I lost my register code, can you send it again?
