Step by Step to Convert Blu-ray to MOV on Mac

Step 1: Load Blu-ray Movies

Insert Blu-ray to Blu-ray drive and launch the Blu-ray to MOV converter on your Mac. Then click the "Load Disc" button to browse source Blu-ray movies. After loading, you can choose desired subtitle and audio track in "Subtitle" and "Audio" box at the bottom of the chapter list.

Step 2: Choose output format

After the loading of source Blu-ray file, click "Format" to pop up profile window, and choose SD MOV in "Common Video", HD MOV in "HD Video", 3D MOV in "3D Video", ProRes MOV in "Final Cut Pro" categories for QuickTime, iMovie, iPad, iTunes, etc.

Adjust detailed settings

After MOV output format is set, switch to "Settings". You can adjust MOV video size, bit rate, frame rate and audio codec, bitrate, etc. You are also allowed to click the "Edit" icon on the tool bar of main interface to open the "Video Editor" Window to trim, crop, add effect, add subtitles, etc.

Step 3: Start to convert Blu-ray to MOV

Click the big red “Convert” button on the top-right of the main interface to start to rip Blu-ray to MOV. When the conversion is completed, click "Open Output Folder" on the main interface to pop out the folder with MOV files ripped from Blu-ray videos.

Method 1: Find out the target folder and choose the video you want to play, right-click it and choose QuickTime as the open mode.

Method 2: Launch QuickTime and click “File” > “Open File”, then choose the video you want to play.

Method 3: Directly choose and drag the files to the QuickTime player icon. After you releasing the mouse, QuickTime will launch automatically and open the videos you choose.
