Enjoy streaming blu-ray movies on iPad 2

iPad 2 is quite an amazing product of Apple which provides convenient portable multi-media solution. However, its storage up to 64GB limits the quality and quantity of local movies. Especially for Blu-ray movies, is there anyway to playback the disc movies on iPad 2 without too much quality loss?

If you have got a PC or Mac with a Blu-ray drive, the above question is no big deal. Use Air Video and Pavtube Blu-Ray Ripper, you may easily stream your ripped blu-ray movies to your iPad 2 via Wi-Fi or 3G network.

As both Blu-Ray Ripper and Air Video are able to transcode and convert videos, you may choose to directly full copy the Blu-ray disc and play live conversion in Air Video app, or set the output video format as mov or m4v with H.264 codec in Pavtube Blu-Ray Ripper and play the iPad-supported format in Air Video app without extra conversion, whatever you like.

If you choose to play live conversion, remember to set the output video bitrate in “Global Settings” lower than your network bandwidth, or there would be buffering during the playback. Usually 1536-2560Kbps would be adequate.
